Obituary for ND Davis

Mr. ND Davis, Sr. was born October 19, 1927, in Flat Creek, Alabama to the Late Ned and Mary T Lanier Davis. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Panther Creek Baptist Church. ND a WWII veteran of the United States Navy served his Country Dutifully. After leaving the Navy, ND met and married Lena M Faison, who preceded him in death. To that union, six children were born: Robert, AC, Pat, Shelia, Jr. and Reggie.
ND was a faithful member of the Elk's Lodge, and he had a deep passion for BINGO! He drove for new deal number six cab company for many many years. He was a fixture of the Legendary Tijuana Club, Ben Moore Hotel and Paradise Club.
ND leaves to cherish his memories: wife Velma Orum Davis; five sons, Robert Davis, Herbert (AC) Davis, ND (Jr.) (Carlita) Davis, Reginald Davis, Sam Orum ; Seven daughters: Wanda Scott Davis, Lena Davis Lewis, Cynthia Osborne Seals (who preceded him in death), Sheila Davis, Doretha (William) Brown, Lisa (Cedric) Hughes, Carole (David) Smiley. Two sisters that preceded him in death; Christine (Johnny) Williams, Earnestine Springs, One Surviving sister; Betty (Willie) Lewis of Cincinnati, OH. Three brothers who all preceded him in death; AB (Louella) Davis, MR (Mollie) Davis, HC Davis.
ND has 26 Grand children and a host of Great-Grands; sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and other family and friends.
