Lillie Mae Bell Foster was born on March 9, 1945 in Macon County, Alabama to Clinton and Annie Bell Dawkins. She was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, December 11, 2015.

Lille Mae accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Shorter, AL. As a young adult while living in Brooklyn, New York, she joined New Canaan Baptist Church and served as a Deaconess. Later, she moved to Montgomery, Alabama and joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. Walter Ellis. She was a faithful member as she served on the Deaconess Ministry, Pastor’s Aid Ministry, and a member of the Gospel Chorus.

Lillie Mae graduated in 1962 from Tuskegee Institute High School, Tuskegee, Alabama. She married the love of her life on November 23, 1963. She worked many years in the nursing field.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband, Joseph Freddie Foster; son, Joseph Anthony Foster (New York, New York); daughter, Conchita Foster; Grandson, Montel Crumpton; 3 sister-in-laws, Johnnie Manuel (Indianapolis, IN), Kathryn McDermott and Judy Cowan (Knoxville, TN); 3 brother-in-laws, Clint Foster (Leavenworth, KS) Robert, and James Foster (Knoxville, TN); 4 Aunts, Janie Bell DeVaughn (Shorter, AL), Hazel Bell (South Boston, VA), Mary Bell (Clearwater, FL), and Doll Bell (Cleveland, OH); 2 uncles, Jessie Bell (Clearwater, FL) and Willie Bell (Shorter, AL); a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; devoted friends, Geraldine Irby, Alice Marshall, Sadie Ellis, Sandra Barner, Dot Reynolds and Barbara Evans.
