Daniel Roman McCall was born October 21, 1994, in Montgomery, Alabama. He departed this life suddenly on September 9, 2015.
Daniel was a very caring and loving young man who possessed the ability to light up a room with just his smile. Those who knew him well enjoyed his comedic ability and his love for Al Green’s music. He made an impact on many lives as a devoted friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Along with his exceptional character, Daniel was a student-athlete with a passion for cutting hair. He played football at George Washington Carver High School as a defensive lineman. He was also an accomplished wrestler. After high school, Daniel attended Alabama State University for two years as a walk on for the football team where he earned a starting spot his first season. During the spring of 2015, Daniel made the decision to follow his dreams of becoming a barber and branded himself, MacKutz. But above all, Daniel confessed with his mouth the Lord Jesus and believed with his heart that God raised Jesus from the dead.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Queenie Jackson Everage, grandmother Eva Mae Cottrell Jackson, and grandfather Reverend Fred Brown.
The memories of his life will be cherished by his loving and devoted parents, Daniel and Faye McCall; four sisters, Sonya Allen and Tamika McCall of Montgomery Alabama, Diana Abston (Phillip) of Auburn, Alabama, Amelia McCall (fiance’, Clifton Geathers) of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Rueben Brown and Charlie Jackson (LaTonya) of Montgomery, Alabama; grandparents Rev. Daniel and Mrs. Ida B. McCall of Montgomery, Alabama. He was also blessed with many loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and a very special friend, Keldrinesha Davis.
