Mrs. Cora Lee Murrell the daughter of the late Nancy Elsberry and Rich Vandiver was born March 22, 1936 in Montgomery County.

She confessed Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Greater Grace Victorious Assembly. She was a loving and devoted mother and sister. She departed this life on Friday August 28, 2015 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery , Alabama.

Mrs. Cora leaves to cherish her memories three loving daughters and one devoted son, Liz (Lavan) Jackson (Wetumpka, AL), Melinda (Jesse) McCoy (Hope Hull, AL), Vernetta Washington (Montgomery, AL), Willie James Murrell, Jr, (Montgomery, AL), four sisters, Lillie Mae Stovall (Montgomery, AL), Ida Mae Thomas (deceased), Cora Martin (deceased), and Mary Ellen Elsberry (California), four brothers, Joe L. (Barbara) Johnson (Letohatchee, AL) LC Johnson (deceased), Eugene Johnson (deceased), and Alfred Tolliver (deceased). She was a special grandmother and a great great grandmother to Kaysan Belser, who gave her much joy at the end of her days. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to cherish her memories. Special mention goes to Mr. Willie James Murrell Sr., her ex-husband who remained a dear, and devoted friend until her death. She had a special affection for Mrs. Louise Jackson and for Mr. and Mrs. Franklin McNeil.
