Brandon Jamaal Vinson entered this world on October 3, 1994, born to Jesse James and Mary Lois Vinson. Brandon gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was baptized and a member of First Baptist Church at Washington Park under the leadership of Dr. Willie Welch, III. Brandon was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Anthony Mays of Montgomery, AL; his paternal grandparents, Sylvester, Sr. and Eugenia Shaver Vinson of Montgomery, AL; his maternal grandparents, Grandville and Carrie B. Coleman of Sylacauga, AL and Rebecca Mays of Montgomery, AL.
He attended George Washington Carver High School. Brandon was known for his big heart, dedication and loyalty to his family and close friends. He enjoyed life and was enthusiastic about making his family proud, especially his mother and father. Brandon took pride in being the baby brother and uncle; he wanted to make sure he protected his position.
We will remember his smile, proud personality and willingness to put his family and friends first. Brandon was a talented baseball and football player. His most recent accomplishment was his position as a defensive back on the semi-pro team; the Montgomery Seminoles. Brandon was known and loved by so many including special friends, Cedric Thomas (Pete), Johnny Grant, Devonte’ Myrick, Trevaris Smith, Ricardo Felder, Niguel Walker, Jevonnie Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted father and mother: Jesse James and Mary Lois Vinson. Brandon was the youngest of nine sisters and brothers.
